Sadness mixed with joy. That is how we are feeling right now. Pastor Diego left this earth this morning and is now rejoicing in the presence of His Savior. He had been in declining health for the past several months. We will miss Pastor Diego. He was a good shepherd to his church. Some of you may remember Pastor Diego as "the Bread Pastor" because he and another family made bread and sold it for income. The bread was delicious, especially if you were lucky enough to get it while it was hot! The Santa Clara Church grew fast and strong under his leadership. In the last few months while he was so sick, his conversations were not about him or his circumstances. He was burdened for his flock: Who was going to lead them? Who was going to teach them about evangelism? Who was going to shepherd them? The only personal worry he expressed was: Who will take care of my children? Pastor Diego was father to seven children, the youngest being 8 years old. His wife left him and the children several years ago and is not expected to return. His elderly mother, who is blind, had been trying to help him and the children during his illness. We are praying that the older children will be able to take in the youngest ones and we would like to help them with the expenses of the funeral and also provide some food and clothing. If you feel led to help, you can send a donation to Impacto, and designate: Pastor Diego. Checks may be made out to Impacto and mailed to Impacto Ministry, 9690 Shepherds Creek Place, La Plata, MD 20646. You may also donate via our website, www.impactoministry.com.
If you have questions, please email [email protected].

Please keep Pastor Diego's family and church lifted in your prayers. We also ask that you pray with us for God to call someone to be the pastor to the Santa Clara Church.

Pastor Diego and Pastor Luis

Who stood up for me against the wicked?
Who took my side against evil workers?
If God hadn't been there for me, I never would have made it. The minute I said, "I'm slipping, I'm falling," your love, God, took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up.
