A Christian's Biggest Joy
Malachi 3:10
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessings that there will not be room enough to store it."
If you had the chance to read the entire Bible you would see that God does not give us permission to test Him. This is the only verse in the entire Bible in which he permits this. In this giving journey you are not only supporting the Kingdom but you are also provoking, if you will, God to come through with what He has promised. This is not a "prosperity theory" it is simply the truth
from the mouth of God. He is going to open the floodgates of heaven and is going to give you so many blessings and you will experience the biggest joy of being a Christian, "to give."

Pastors Congress
Over 100 pastors and leaders were served at our 3rd annual Pastors Congress! It was a blessing for our staff to be able to serve and also to learn alongside all of these pastors. We held different seminars for men and women. The Congress is a great opportunity to bond and fellowship with fellow pastors, leaders and pastors wives. Sometimes it is difficult for our leaders to have friendships and this event was a great opportunity to both renew and make new friendships. It was so exciting to see pastors having their cups filled. The change in their faces was very obvious from Monday to Thursday; some who came in looking worn and tired looked young and fresh by the time we said goodbye to them Thursday morning.
For this Congress we charged a total of Q150 per person which is the equivalent of a little less than US$20. For this, the pastors were offered 3 nights' accommodations, a total of 8 meals and a canvas bag with all their material, including an MP3 player with messages and scripture in both Spanish and English. Of course the amount charged did not cover all of the expenses to Impacto, however, God is faithful and He provided for this Congress.
We know that all the pastors, their wives, and leaders left the Congress with their hearts filled and their cups overflowing. There was time a of prayer and healing. The Impacto staff also was able to participate and attend the workshops and our cups were filled just the same.
We want to give a big thanks to all of you who prayed and gave towards this ministry effort and also a huge thanks to our speakers, Jarvis and Sue Ferguson, Mike and Tina Hilson, Patrick Styers, Marilyn Simons, and Elizabeth Trayan for blessing the pastors of Guatemala and sharing their knowledge with us. |

Sewing Ministry
With a smile on their faces, Irma, Maria, Raquel, Rosario, Nicolasa, Delsy, Teresa, Flory, Maria, Ruth, Micaela, Dominga Juana, Maria and Elena each received their very own sewing machine on October 8, 2014. It was our very first graduating class and you could feel the excitement in the room. Surrounded by family and friends each of these women were glowing with pride as they received their diploma. Pastor Luis gave a short devotional in which 10 people came to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior! The graduates also received a bag with some extra material to help them get started on their own projects to sell. We plan on having a small reunion with the ladies towards the end of November and maybe work on one last Christmas project, have a snack meal, dessert and a time of fellowship and praying.

Zona Cero (Ground Zero) Preparations
October 18-19 we held a "preparation camp" for our Zona Cero youth leaders and sub-leaders. It was such a blessing to see 34 young people of God coming together to rejoice in what God has done in and through Zona Cero. The past years have been fantastic and we have high expectations for this year as well. We know that God will be present and He will work wonders in the lives of the youth. During the weekend we had games, food, a time for praise and worship and of course we heard the Word from Pastor Jeff Newton and also from Pastor Luis, during which time 5 of the youth leaders came to Christ and made a pact to serve Him.
The second day we had a time of prayer for all our brothers and sisters in Christ whom are being persecuted around the world. Afterwards we had a devotional led by Tony Mendez in which 14 leaders confessed to not being sure of their salvation. That moment, they confessed their sins and asked the Lord to come into their hearts. Most of these young people have been raised in their church and like many young people they thought serving in church and doing good deeds was enough for them to get by. This weekend however, they learned it's much more than that and they were encouraged to work on their relationship with Christ. They also learned how to evangelize to others with patience and love that can only come from Jesus Christ. After seeing the change in the leaders themselves we are so excited to see what God has in store for Zona Cero this year. We know He will be in control of this camp.
