The Consequences of Christ's Sacrifice

His grace (grace - an undeserved favor), with all due respect, is one of the hardest things to understand. Actually, I don't think anyone understands the meaning of this word, grace. We can, however, see the results of it. Let me share a few Bible verses that show us the results of His grace.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
 Isaiah 55:1
Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters' and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
 Isaiah 55:10-11
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sewer and bread for the eater, so it is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
 Isaiah 55:13
Instead of the thorn bush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers a myrtle will grow.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, that everyone benefits from His sacrifice, all by grace ( for free!). This means that there is not one single thing you can do to earn heaven or the undeserved favor of God. and Isaiah 55:10-11 says that like He sends the snow and rain with purpose to water the earth and it reproduces for our benefit to do what He wants it to do. What is it that He wants to do with His word? He wants it to transform us and we see this answer in verse 13, "instead of the thorn bush will grow juniper." This means without Christ we are thorn bushes or briers and with Christ we are junipers or myrtle. The junipers produce such amazing shade that everyone wants to be underneath it but no one wants to lay under a thorn bush. Grace is at your door and wants to make you a new creature. All you have to do is accept it.

It is hard to believe that March is coming to an end. What a blessed month the Lord has given us! This month we had a team from Gateway Church in Pennsylvania as well as a team from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church from Iowa. The team from Gateway held health clinics as well as worked with the Happy Tummies kids and the Abuelitos. They also had a time of sharing testimonies at Iglesia Shalom in San Juan. The team from St. Andrew helped build three houses, a part of the retaining wall around Happy Tummies, worked with our sewing ministry, Stitches of Blessings, held a sports camp, VBS, two days of medical clinics (accompanied by
Dr. Natareno), Pastor and Leader Training, and of course spent time with the Happy Tummies kids and Abuelitos.

This month we have added 4 children to the Happy Tummies program and are looking to add a few more Abuelitos. Palm Sunday we were able to partner with Iglesia Shalom and show The Jesus Film. Coffee and tamales were served and each church member had been encouraged to bring a non-believer friend. This church has around 40 members and we hosted 110 people that night; 8 of them gave their lives over to Jesus Christ! We praise God for this awesome night!

In March we also had to say goodbye to our dear friends Larry and Carlotta Walsh. They were here for 3 months working alongside Impacto and were a huge help! They built cabinets for Happy Tummies, as well as cubbies and bunk beds for The Promised Land, gave a box of staple foods for each Happy Tummies family and each of the Abuelitos, plus so much more. It truly was an honor to serve with this God-fearing couple and we are all very thankful for everything they did while serving in Guatemala.

As 2015 already seems to be flying by we are learning to trust in the Lord more and more each day. Please join us in prayer so that God may provide both physical and spiritual strength to us all. Satan is not happy with God using Impacto for His honor and glory but this will only make us work harder for God. Thank you again for all your prayers and support.

In His Love,
