May has brought many blessings! Many
of our staff have been traveling back and forth this month yet, we've seen God's work being done. We've seen the women in Stitches of Blessings really improve their sewing skills and finish up some projects. We've had Sunday School training, a Zona Cero meeting and mom's visits. We've had a Pastor's and leaders training, with 50 attendees, held with the support of a ministry called, Servants4Him. We also celebrated Mother's Day with our Happy Tummies moms and Abuelitas.
In some of our pictures of the Sunday School training you might see materials your team left behind. Please know they are appreciated by Impacto and the churches we serve. This is a big way
you are helping us minister even when you're physically not present.
Many of you have seen the Abuelitos new land. While we raise the money to start construction, we are planting different vegetables on this land which will be used to feed the Abuelitos and Happy Tummies kids. This month we heard an awesome testimony from Pastor Ismael, the pastor of Prince of Peace Central American Church. He shared with us that a year and a half ago his church had no children or youth program. Then he was invited to one of Impacto's Sunday School training sessions and it changed his whole view on children's programs! Pastor Ismael said within the first two trainings he attended he was able to organize the church into holding Sunday School classes for the children divided by ages. A member of Pastor Ismael's church shared with us the changes she's seen in the church since they've started their children's program. Last year in November Prince of Peace Church was able to hold their first ever VBS! Praise God! This really is a great example of the ripple affect that Pastor Luis often mentions. Pastor Ismael also attended the Zona Cero meeting out of curiosity and to his amazement it was an answered prayer! The youth from Prince of Peace had recently come to him saying they were interested in going to camp this year. As Pastor Ismael started looking into options everything was way out of their budget. As he sat at our Zona Cero meeting he was overjoyed by the fact that it was a camp that the church could definitely afford and he would be able to send the youth of his church to Zona Cero! When our staff hears these testimonies it definitely gives us goose bumps to hear of the amazing ways God works! Thank you to all of you who are partnering with us in God's ministry. This is just a small testimony of one person and one church who you've helped us touch. To God be the Glory!
