June has been amazing! It's so awesome to know that in a few days we'll be celebrating Independence Day for the USA! Though many things are happening all over the world including our own backyards, it's overwhelming to know we rely in an all powerful God! Let us not forget to pray for our nations and those in power, even if they may not be the ones we chose.
As June ends and we reflect on our month, we are, once again, in awe of what God has done here in Guatemala. Many thanks to the teams that have come to minister during this month. They did great: Construction on the library, Happy Tummies wall and two houses; medical check-ups; house visits; and, loving on the Abuelitos and the children at our three Happy Tummies locations!
We are still astounded by the fact that God has opened the doors to be serving through Happy Tummies at three different locations! As some of you may know we are starting with snack time at the school until we have enough sponsors to provide full meals. The snack consists of a delicious nutritious drink, bread and peanut butter, black beans, or some other protein spread! June 29 was our first official day of snack time at the school. We'd already been visiting and sharing Bible stories, playing, and sharing God's love with them. However, we are very excited to be providing food for them. God is, without a doubt, doing great things! Sharing His love and mercy with others is the greatest joy we could experience on this earth.
