Prayer Requests

Praises
We give thanks each day for constantly seeing God's hand at work and we want to share a few of these with you.

-- We praise God that we were able to celebrate with the women of Stitches of Blessings receiving their machines.

-- In just a couple of days we will be holding our 5th Pastor's Congress and we are so excited to see what God has in store for the Pastors, their wives, and church leaders.

-- We are seeing the children in Happy Tummies grow in the Lord immensely. We feel honored to be a part of their growth in Christ.

-- It was such a joy to celebrate Independence Day here in Guatemala with the children and Happy Tummies staff! Everyone had a blast, and God's name was glorified!

-- Many youth are contacting us already about Zona Cero. God has done some great things in the lives of the youth here in Guatemala and Zona Cero is a place where they come to have their cups filled.

-- St. James Medical Team was here this month ministering alongside Impacto. It was an awesome week were many people were seen, given medicine, were able to see a dentist, and they built a house for a family in need! Praise God!

-- Abuelitos wall is very close to being finished! Many of you worked on it over the summer and know we had to make sure that wall would withstand the water pressure when the rain comes. We are excited to see this project almost completed.

-- God allowed us to celebrate the birthdays of the Happy Tummies children at the Promised Land!

____________________________________________________

Some days it seems like all we do is ask, and to be honest, some days it's really hard to ask. It's not as easy as it sounds. However, when we are reminded why we're asking and who will be benefiting, it all seems worth it. This year we thought Giving Tuesday would be a great opportunity for us to kick start a ministry that has been heavy on our hearts this past year. We really feel God is leading us to get the building done on the Abuelitos' land.
You may be wondering why they need a place of their own. The Abuelitos usually leave around 10:30 or 11:00. Some leave because they have to, not because they want to because there has to be time to get everything ready for the Happy Tummies kids who arrive for the afternoon. How nice it would be for the Abuelitos to have a place where they could stay longer, maybe get a second meal for the day, work a little longer on a craft, weaving or gardening, or just spend more time with each other so they don't have to be alone.
In October we have 6 sixth graders graduating to 7th grade! This means that we will have a total of 8 children each morning at Happy Tummies during the same time the Abuelitos meet. Eight 12 year olds take up a lot of room and can make quite a bit of ruckus!
We are looking to expand, we mean this physically but also spiritually. We know there is a lot more we can offer the Abuelitos. For example, a lot of the Abuelitos cannot read because they never learned and some because they're losing their eyesight. So we would love to spend more time reading the Bible out loud for them. We would love to have more time to pray with them; many of you who have come on trips know that the time spent with them goes by so fast! We know they need more; more of our time, more of your time, and more time with God.
What we are asking is that you prayerfully consider donating towards getting the Abuelitos place built. A place that will be their own, where they can come and go as they please, a place where they will feel safe and loved. Our goal for the first phase is $75,000. We know this will be a place where people will feel loved and safe, be fed, but most importantly feel God's presence and get to know Him better.
Please prayerfully consider giving on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. You can make PayPal donations via our website under Abuelitos and in the description write 'Giving Tuesday'. You can also send checks to the address below. Thank you for helping us further the Kingdom.
I have a verse for you...

"And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him."     1 John 5:15

In this verse it's like God is giving us a little pat on the back.
                                                                                                                ~ Pastor Luis

Requests
"Ask and you shall receive," this is a Biblical principle so here are our requests.

-- We mentioned above about the Abuelitos building, please consider donating towards this ministry.

-- Please pray that we may have the physical and spiritual strength to daily share our faith and the Gospel with others around us.

-- We've mentioned this many times but it's real and we need constant and daily prayer because satan is also hard at work here. Please pray for our staff; for us to not fall into his tramps or hear the lies he whispers in our ears. Pray that we may stand strong in Christ and hear His truths and stand firm in our faith.

-- As always, our God is faithful and always provides; many times He uses His children to provide for His ministry, please consider donating towards our ministry efforts.

-- Our staff is not fully funded, though our faith rests in God we ask that you prayerfully consider helping our missionaries.
