October Ministry Update

What's been happening this month...

October has been a busy month to say the least, but blessings have been poured down by God on our ministry and our staff. It's been a month with much traveling and we praise God for the safety of all involved! The staff has ministered alongside New Life Church (MD) in Zacapa: The team held medical clinics and brought the Gospel to many, even sharing the Gospel with a village where 5 months ago was the first time the village had heard the salvation story! We were also joined this month by EastLake Church (VA) who led trainings on 'Evangecube' and 'I am Second'. They trained many with successful ways to bring souls to Christ. This will be a huge help to our Happy Tummies staff, the leaders heading to Coban this weekend, and many others. We are sure that the coming months will see the multiplication of believers as a result of these training sessions.
Pastor Luis' Corner

If I asked you what was the main purpose of praying how would you answer? The main purpose of prayer is to give glory to God.

"And I will do whatever you ask in
my name, so that the Father may
be glorified in the Son."
John 14:13

In Genesis chapter 22, one of the most fascinating stories of the Bible is when God manifested His glory by providing Abraham something to sacrifice. Each prayer request and each situation that originates the request is, in reality, an opportunity to experience first-hand the glory of God. Because, when He answers He reveals His glory. In John 11:32b, both of Lazarus' sisters told Jesus,  "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." Why did Jesus let Lazarus die? He could've just spoken the words to prevent Lazarous from dying even from many miles away. Or, He could've made it there before Lazarus died. But, He allowed him to die so that the Father would be glorified in the events that followed.  "When he heard this, Jesus said, ' "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it'" John 11:4. In his first letter Peter says,  "...that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." (1 Peter 4:11b)

So when you pray for something, ask God that He may be glorified in His answer through your requests. "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (John 14:13)
Needs...

As always our most important need is prayer. Know that your prayers are what lifts us on our hardest days. As we've said before, satan hates when God's name is glorified and he attacks viciously. We also are in need of funding. One of our big ministry events coming up is Zona Cero. This is our yearly youth camp, a place where we see many youth dedicate their life to God. It's where many youth have heard their calling, and where they come to refill their cups from a harsh world that likes to empty them. We also are in need of funding for our Happy Tummies, Pastors and leaders trainings, Pastors Congress and other ministries. We know that these are His ministries and He will provide; He always does. "Ask and you shall receive" is a Biblical principal and we ask that you prayerfully consider giving towards our ministry. Your gift will help the Kingdom grow and bring glory to God. Remember you can find how to give by visiting our website and click on the DONATE tab...you'll find instructions on how to give by check or online.
VBS...

The last couple of days of this month kick starts our  VBS Season. This weekend a group of young leaders will be traveling to Coban from the Lake Atitlan Region. Our staff has met with them numerous times this year to plan a week of VBS. They are going to be missionaries in their own country; it is however, a different culture and even a different language than theirs. We pray that this will be a blessed experience for the children of Coban as well as for the youth leading VBS. Immediately after our week in Coban begins VBS week in the Lake Region. We will be taking VBS to 7 churches and our Happy Tummies sites during this week. After many years of training, we have encouraged the churches to do VBS on their own. While Impacto teams will be present to help with some crafts and games, we are over-whelmed to see these churches stand strong and firm in planning their own VBS. The third week we will head to Zacapa with Impacto teams and we're excited to be ministering there with plans to share Christ's love with many. Please keep our staff in your prayers, for safe travels, for physical and spiritual strength, and please pray that many will come to know the Lord, and that everyone involved will be filled with the Holy Spirit.
