Praying Blessings to You and All Your Loved Ones!

Impacto wishes each of you a Happy and Blessed New Year! We could not have asked for a better way to end 2016 than with the events in December. The month started out a bit busy...we hosted our annual youth camp, Zona Cero, and multiple Christmas celebrations. From these ministries we saw many souls come to Christ. During Zona Cero we saw our youth from Happy Tummies blossom in their relationship with Christ (praise God we have youth)! Many youth surrendered their lives and burdens to Christ and many first-time decisions for Christ were made. During our Christmas celebration we heard testimonies from our workers on how their lives have changed since they had recently come to Christ. Problems and crises in their lives have been resolved through God's mercy.

There are no words to express our gratitude to you! We pray for you daily and ask God to bless you abundantly. Our ministry would not be possible without your support. May this New Year be filled with blessings, smiles, love, and hopefully a trip to Guatemala!

The Best Resolution

I think that the best New Year's resolution would be to slow down and consider our priorities. I believe our priorities should begin here:   So Samuel said to all the Israelites, " If you are returning to the Lord with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines."  1 Samuel 7:3

These verses were said before one of the cruelest battles fought by Israel. Verse 4 says that Israel turned their hearts back to God and served Him and from that resolution God answered almost immediately.   While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the Lord thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites. 1 Samuel 7:10

This led Samuel to worship and adoration:   Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, "Thus far the Lord has helped us." 1 Samuel 7:12

If you would make a list of all the blessings from this past year, you also would remember the challenges; but, you would see that during times of crises God was there, too. Today I would like for you to consider turning your heart to Christ and serving him. Then together we will say "EBENEZER!"

Happy Tummies Panyebar

As we shared earlier this month, for many reasons it is vital that we add a perimeter wall around this Happy Tummies site. One reason is that there is now a bar next door and a wall would protect the children. Also, we have some avocado trees and the avocados are being stolen and if we get chickens for the coop, they also would be stolen. The last reason is that our hearts break when neighboring kids come to the door and longingly watch the Happy Tummies children during mealtime and celebrations. Please prayerfully consider sending a gift to build this wall.
