Prayer Requests and Praises

January 2017

We are so blessed to be starting a new year of serving God. Once again, He has re assured us that this is where we belong! We are very excited to partner with you in 2017 and ask that you continue to partner with us in prayer. We certainly felt your prayers last year. Below are some Prayer Requests for this year as well as Praises! Again, thank you for your partnership and working together for the Kingdom.

Praises

-God has provided for us to begin construction of the Abuelitos building this year.

-The library will soon be completed.

-We now have 8 kids that will be with us in the morning since they will be starting Middle School this year.

-We praise God that Larry & Carlotta Walsh are ministering alongside us for the next 3 months here in Guatemala.

-We praise God for the privilege and opportunity to start a new year of Abuelitos and Happy Tummies.

-We are extremely grateful for you and your partnering with us in prayer and financially.

Requests

-Pray for safety for our staff as well as all those coming to minister this year.

-God's provision to keep Happy Tummies and Abuelitos running for the next year.

-For health and energy for our staff.

-May our staff always stay focused on our number one goal: Bringing people to Christ.

-For wisdom as we guide these children and show them the love of God.

-For the home lives of the children at each Happy Tummies location and for them to be the light in their homes.

-Keep our middle schoolers in prayer; they will be influenced by older kids who might not fear the Lord. Our prayer is that they may stand firm in Christ and that their faith will not fail.

-Monday, January 16, is the first day of Happy Tummies and Abuelitos. We ask that you join us in prayer for a great year and for the children to grow in Christ!

Panyebar

As we have mentioned before the surrounding wall for Happy Tummies Panyebar is very important. We have many reasons for needing this wall up -- our chickens from the coop and the avocados from our trees are constantly being stolen; a recently opened bar next door (there are days when the drunken men come by just to harass the children and the teachers); and, heartbreakingly, the neighboring children will sometimes come and stand by the door and longingly watch the children eat and/or receive presents from the teams.

We hope that you will prayerfully consider sending a financial gift to help get this wall up. Our goal is $5,000. We know there is nothing impossible for God and in His timing this will be done. Thank you for your support.
