"
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7
Put your faith into action. The book of Luke says, "Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!"
When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed." (Luke 17:11-14) Here we are told the story of 10 men who had leprosy. In the time of Jesus' life, lepers were a margin to society; they lived apart from society. Leprosy was a terminal illness and they knew there was nothing they could do to cure it. It's in that moment when Jesus appears and they
YELLED "
and called out in a loud voice, 'Jesus, Master, have pity on us!'" (Luke 17:13) that they put their faith into action. What do you do when you're losing your marriage, your family, your health, your joy, your finances, etc? It's the moment to
YELL like these 10 men did saying,
'HAVE PITTY ON ME!'
When just a single one of the 10 came back to say thank you Jesus gave him the reason why he was saved. "Then he said to him, '
Rise and go; your faith has made you well.'" (Luke 17:19) So, it was his faith that saved him. When we are desperate we need to make desperate prayers.
"I call out to the Lord,
and he answers me from his holy mountain." (Psalm 3:4) PUT YOUR FAITH INTO ACTION.
