Praises & Requests

August 2017

God has been showing up overtime this month! In just 2-and-a-half weeks we saw over 300 souls come to Christ! Oh, what a party it must've been in heaven! Many of those who made a decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior were teenagers and children. Some of them live close to us and we will be able to disciple them. Others live a little farther away but our prayer is that they will stand firm in the Lord. Some of these salvations happened because our plans were changed at the last minute. At times, for the teams and our staff, those changes can be frustrating. Then when we see how God works because of those changes, we can only praise Him. Once again, He has left us in awe as He's used the teams and our staff to work for His Kingdom. To God be the glory!

Praises

-- We are so thankful, and praise God for each of the teams that He sent this summer. Each one was an instrument He used to show the love of Jesus here in Guatemala.

-- We can't stop glorifying His name for all the souls that have come to know Him.

-- Among those who accepted Jesus were some of our Abuelitos and some of the new kids in Happy Tummies Panyebar!

-- God has been faithful. As we've shared before satan has tried hard to knock us down; but the way God shines through the tough times is absolutely astounding.

I have a verse for you...

"The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."

Psalm 121:8

Requests

-- Pray for strength as we finish the last 2 weeks of our busy season.

-- Our staff needs wisdom as the construction plans for the new Abuelitos site start to take shape. May we listen to God as He leads us in the right direction. May He open and close doors at His will.

-- Pray for the teams that will join us this fall, that God might be working in their hearts even now.

-- Our Pastor's Conference will also be happening in October and we already are working hard getting things ready. Please be in prayer that we may be able to get everything done, and please pray for the speakers and participants.

Meet Brendi

Brendi has three daughters, two of which are in Happy Tummies. Brendi also is a student in our Stitches of Blessings ministry, and was one of the moms who got a small gas stove last month. A few days ago, Brendi let us know how she was so thankful to God for bringing her to Impacto. She says that the blessings He has provided through Impacto have been tremendous and something she never pictured. Brendi has worked as a seamstress for about 10 years. She fixes shirts, blouses, jeans, skirts, aprons and so on. For 10 years she has rented a machine from someone else. This year she is over the moon to know that in about 2 months she will have her very own machine to take home! This is a quick story of one family that has received God's blessings through Impacto. But, as Pastor Luis always says, there is a ripple effect, and through her blessings many others are blessed. To God be the glory!
