Warm Greetings from Guatemala!

Once again we are in awe of how time is just flying by this year! We plan ahead, make arrangements, and have certain goals. Yet every month we are surprised by God and His plans, His arrangements, and His goals. October has certainly been a busy month. Below are some Praises we want to share with you to glorify God's name and some Requests we ask that you lift in prayer.
Praises
  • The Pastor's Congress was awesome! We had our largest number yet, we had over 175 pastors and leaders!
  • We praise God for Dilma's (mom), and Tony's lives! They both had birthdays in October. Both are a tremendously important part of our staff.
  • Last week a medical team from St. James UMC-AR came to minister alongside us.
  • Through the hard and through the storms we have seen God's hand with us. It's not always easy
I have a verse for you...
"You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you."
Isaiah 26:3
Pastor's Congress
We are still in awe of what God did during the Pastor's Congress! We had more participants than ever and God really used our speakers! It was a time to fill the cups of those who are constantly pouring from their cups to others. We ask for an offering of about $25. Many of those who come either give half or a fourth of that. Some barely have enough for transportation and they show up with literally nothing in their pockets. But they know they are welcomed and will not be turned away. It's such a joy to see many who come back and are old friends and new faces too! Praise God for allowing Impacto to be a small part in serving His saints.
Requests
  • We have a special request in our hearts, we ask that you join us in prayer for Women's ministry. It is something that we see is needed, yet it's very hard. Here, as in any other countries, women must tend to their husbands, kids, homes, families and others before themselves. We know they need to be ministered to so join us in prayer as we seek the best way to do this.
  • We are asking God to give our staff wisdom, discernment, peace, and joy. Times are tough, but our God is the greatest.
  • Zona Cero is right around the corner, please pray for provision, but most importantly for this to be a time for the youth to be renewed and grow closer to God.
Coban
Pastor Luis went to Coban last week. Our entire staff wanted to be with him but we were with him in heart and prayer. The plan was for Pastor Luis to travel to Coban with two other Pastors and check on any damage done to the churches from Tropical Storm Nate. Pastor Luis hired a van and driver to take them, as it is a very long trip and all the trucks were being used here that week. But, God works in mysterious ways! The day before they were set to leave Pastor Luis received a call from his cousin who is part of a ministry that flies out to teach Pastors who live in areas where cars won't reach. Pastor Luis told him his plans for the next day and his cousin shared with him that the roads to Coban were very bad and in some areas blocked. He said that since they were going to minister he would fly them out for about the same price they were paying for the van and driver! This is one of many ways we saw God at work this month. The Pastors traveling with Pastor Luis were over the moon, they'd never been on any kind of aircraft before, though that's a story for another day! They took food and supplies with them and went to visit the churches! Though the Pastors and members were grateful for the food they were more excited to see three men coming to them because they cared. They had a wonderful time of worship and devotion led by the Holy Spirit. Their souls were renewed and there is no one who deserves all the glory but God!
