June has reached it's end and our staff is busier than ever! Today we begin our season with teams back-to-back weekly. Our staff has been working hard making sure schedules are set, locals are ready, and each week will--God willing--go smoothly, with lots of flexibility involved. We've also been getting ready for our Bible Conference. Much work goes into making sure everything is translated, all bags for the participants are made, everyone is signed in, has a hotel room, and all menus prepared to purchase food. Though we are all pretty busy we all feel so beyond blessed and joyful that we get to work for the Kingdom every day! God is so good and we are so humbled to have been called by Him.
You can see how much the corn and beans have grown in the past couple of weeks! Praise God for His provision!

Mission Trip to Guatemala

"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[ a ] in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." (John 14:16-18). These are the words of Jesus as He was physically leaving us to go to heaven. But in the verses mentioned He promised to not leave us alone, but that He would send His Holy Spirit to live in and among us. With the Holy Spirit living in us He gave us the abilities to be worthy ambassadors or representatives of Him here on earth. This really amazes me a lot, when I can see that He isn’t here physically but has left these abilities in me. As I write this corner I am thinking of the many that will come on mission trips to Guatemala or other places, and the many who will pray, the many who will give to make this possible. These are the abilities He left us with:
  1. If we are on the mission field we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus. I can find more than 66 verses in the Bible that speak of the powerful hand of God. This He has passed on to us; “Peter went with them, and when he arrived he was taken upstairs to the room. All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them.” (Acts 9:39). Here we see a good example of the power God has given our hands. Dorcas was remembered for using her hands to make robes and other clothing.
  2. Be His eyes. Our verse in Impacto is Matthew 9:36 - "When he saw the crowds...” I want to encourage you to see people how God sees people. 
  3. Be His heart. Matthew 9:36 “…he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” 
  4. Have His mind. "For, "Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ" 1 Corinthians 2:16. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9
  5. Be His Feet. “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
Regardless of whether you get pedicures or not, the Bible says your feet are beautiful when you bring the good news of Salvation. 
I can’t wait to see so many beautiful feet this summer.

Giving Back
This month, as many of you know there was a huge eruption from Fuego Volcano. It hit our country very hard; it was a devastating natural disaster to say the least. We saw our brothers and sisters, both in Guatemala as well as outside of Guatemala give towards this effected by the eruption. We also held a food drive at both Happy Tummies' and the kids were happy to give! It was such an awesome opportunity to be able to see them all give back to our country. To God be the glory!
Coban Mission Trip
One of our big ministries that many teams don’t get to see is discipleship and training. Pastor Luis is an awesome man of God. He’s discipled Tony and together they’ve discipled others. Dinora disciples many during our monthly seminars as well as during Stitches of Blessings. 
This year we are looking forward to having those disciples step forward. We are taking them on a national mission trip!

Coban is a fast-growing mission field. We are working alongside churches who want to grow, who are ready to grow, and who are growing. People in Coban are hungry for God’s Word and God has called us to go and have a VBS there! So, we are taking those disciples who have a gift and have shown interest in working with children. 

Our plan is to take 8 young adults. The cost of the trip is $600 per person. While there, we have to pay for each person's lodging, meals, transportation, and much more. Coban is more expensive than the lake area and since we don’t have a place such as the Promised Land there, our expenses are a bit higher. We would encourage you to prayerfully consider partnering with us financially to get this mission team to Coban. Our goal is to fulfill the Great Commission and we’d love for you to partner with us. As always, you can send a check to our office address below or go online to our website donate via PayPal.
Library
This week We had Julie Williams, a librarian from Maine, here. She helped organize the library, and add books to our online catalog. It was a lot of work and she was great! At the end of the week she did a breakout game with the kids! They loved it! It was so cool to see their minds work and think and help help each other as they cracked each code! It was so much fun! If you have ideas for breakouts please share them with us! Also, we hope to be updating soon on which books are the most needed now that our library is organized!
