October is an exiting month for us, it's full of celebrations and also our Pastor's Congress! We are in awe of what God is doing through Impacto, and we are humbled to be God's servants. At the beginning of the year we shared with you that our word for this year was 'growth' and boy have we seen it! One of the many ways we've seen this is with our Pastor's Congress. This year we have the largest number of registered participants! If, God willing, everyone shows up we'll have 210+ people in the Congress this year. It's so encouraging to see these numbers grow each year and we give God all the glory and honor!
Below we would like to share with you a few praises for you to rejoice with us and lift God's name in worship. Also, a few requests so that you may join us in lifting them up in prayer.
Praises
  • We praise God for allowing us to celebrate Pastor Luis and Dinora's 33 year wedding anniversary; Dilma's Birthday, and Tony's Birthday! We praise God for each of them, and all that they do for the Kingdom.
  • For the growth we've seen in the Pastor's Congress this year; and for God allowing us to minister to those who minister.
  • We are nearing the end of the school year, and we are so thankful to have been able to take this year-long journey with our Happy Tummies kids.
  • We were able to celebrate one more 'graduating class' for the Stitches of Blessings ministry!
Stitches of Blessings
This is the 5th year God has permitted this ministry to take place. It's unbelievable to see the dedication of these women in order to receive their machine. Some traveled for longer than 5 hours for each class. There were months where we were having class every week and they all tried their very best to be here! On graduation day one of the women said that when she started the class this year she thought we were teaching them to sew, she had no idea she was going to take her machine home at the end of the year. This moved our staff so much knowing that she was so happy to just be learning to use a machine and didn't have any idea she would get a machine! It was so moving to see the women, how grateful they were and how they all knew receiving their machines meant a whole new opportunity for them and their families! Thank you so much to each of those who prayed, donated, and taught in this ministry.
I have a verse for you...

"The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them."
Exodus 3:7-8a

Thank you for your prayers! This is the theme verse I will be using for my morning devotions with the 210+ participants at this week's Pastor's Congress.

Requests
  • Join us in prayer for the Pastor's Congress. That God's peace, presence, and Spirit may be present. That everyone's cup may be filled and that our staff will work diligently and in unity.
  • Pray for the teams and many activities we have left for this year. Including VBS in Zacapa, Zona Cero, Christmas activities, and many other ministries including local churches.
  • We are low on funds for Happy Tummies. Please remember that more than a nutritious meal a day the children are all learning to grow, walk, and love Jesus more and more everyday!
  • Pray for our staff, for our spirits to be filled, and our strength to be renewed. As we reach the end of the year we are feeling the fatigue of a busy year.
