As the year progresses, we are in awe of all we’ve seen God do in and through IMPACTO. We will never stop feeling amazed and humbled at the fact that He called us to work for Him full-time! We praise God for all of you who make it possible for us to minister to the people of Guatemala. We thank you for your monetary donations and even more for your prayers.

Also, thank you specifically for your prayers this past week as Mami (Pastor Luis’ mother) went to spend eternity with our Lord.
  • Progress with Juanita’s eye. She’s healing well and the doctors seem pleased with her improvement. She’s now going to Guatemala City weekly for measurements and follow-ups. We hope she’ll have her prosthesis very soon!

  • We are so thankful for all your lives! During the past 5 months we have faced hard trials, two of the ones that stand out the most would be Tony’s situation and Mami’s (Pastor Luis’ mother) passing. Thank you for standing by us and for praying us through these hard times.

  • Our Happy Tummies’ are thriving! We have many new children and we are seeing them grow in the Lord! We love watching them learn about our Father and all He has done and will continue doing in their lives!

  • We praise God for those who have been to Guatemala to minister alongside Impacto the last two-and-a-half months! You all have made a difference and shared the love of Jesus with so many already! We are excited about ministering with those who are still to come this year.
  • Continue to join us in prayer as we begin the process of building the Abuelitos facility. It will be a lot of work and seem hard at times but we are asking God to lead and walk us through this new stage in ministry. Please pray for us to have wisdom so that every decision made will honor God and minister to the Abuelitos.

  • Please continue to keep Pastor Luis and family in prayer as they grieve the passing of Mami. We all know she’s in a much better place and we will see her again; however, there is still sadness and pain for those left behind.

  • Join us in praying for provision for our Happy Tummies ministries (see article below).

  •  We ask that you continue to pray for complete resolution for Tony’s situation.
Therefore encourage one another with these words… Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so
that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. ”

1 Thessalonians 4:18,13
Earlier this year we had to make the hard decision of closing one of our Happy Tummies Schools. We are saddened to share with you that we are facing the possibility of having to close the second school. This is something we do not want to do and we are trying to think of ways to not have to completely pull out of the school. We might have to start being at the school for only 2 or 3 days a week. In the past year of being there we have seen the children benefit in many ways so we really want to keep Happy Tummies in the school. Attendance has increased by 50%! The 6 th grade graduating class increased by 100% from 2017 to 2018. Two weeks ago, we had a team from West Virginia visit the school and share the gospel with the children. That visit saw 40 children come to Christ! They are learning more and more about Jesus and His love every day.

Please, prayerfully consider partnering with us financially to keep this ministry alive. Through sharing one earthly meal a day with these children we have a tool to introduce them to our eternal Father. If you have partnered with us in the past but stopped, we ask that you seriously pray about rejoining us to keep this Happy Tummies running. It only takes US$30 a month per child. Our prayer is that God will touch your hearts and you will find it possible to help these children. You can donate by (1) sending a check with Happy Tummies written on the memo line to our office at the address below, (2) set up monthly check sent from your bank account (more info on our website under DONATE), or (3) visit www.impactoministry.com , click on DONATE, and enter your information.

Thank you, in advance, for taking action to help these otherwise malnourished children to have a chance at a better life.
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
