Wow! What a summer it has been already! We can’t think of a better way to live out our lives on this earth than sharing about Jesus and bringing souls to the Kingdom. It’s so humbling to think God is using Impacto and all the teams coming to spread the Gospel, to share the Good News, and to see many children, teens, and adults making that decision to come to Christ, to accept Him as their Lord and Savior and to proclaim that He is the only way to the Father! To God be all the glory for the many who have come to Him in the last month-and-a-half!

July has been a busy month and this week it is about to get busier. Below are a few Praises for you to celebrate God for; and a few Requests that we ask you join us in lifting in prayer.
PRAISES

  • This year we have seen close to 350 people come to Christ through various Impacto ministry efforts. To God and God alone be all the glory!

  • We are making progress with the Abuelitos construction. It’s a process that sometimes feels very drawn out but we are making headway.

  • We are so grateful for each person who has ministered alongside Impacto so far this summer. God is doing great things and it’s such an awesome pleasure to watch everyone put their heart, soul, sweat, and tears into His ministry.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Isaiah 6:8
REQUESTS

  • Please join us in prayer as we cry out to God for Tony. He has a very important hearing on Wednesday, July 17, and we are praying that we will see yet another miracle from God that day.

  • Pray for our staff, we’re halfway through the summer and we are feeling it! Pray for us all to be reminded daily why we are here and for our focus to be on God. Also, please pray for energy, rest, and good health.

  • Prayers for provision. Our trust is in the Lord 100% and we have seen over and over again how He has provided. We also know we must be diligent and come to Him in prayer “ask and you shall receive.” And so we ask that you prayerfully consider donating to any of the ministries and/or missionaries. A great way to give is to our general fund; this helps every single ministry where Impacto is involved.
ABUELITOS

Abuelitos is such a darling ministry. They come to us in the mornings, 9:00-11:00 am, Monday through Friday. They are the cutest and love so fiercely. Some of them have been forgotten by their families while some have families who love them dearly. However, their mornings are spent alone as everyone must go to work and school. The fact that they also have somewhere to go in the mornings gives them purpose. They are all such good friends and love spending their mornings together. In instances when one of them has gotten sick and cannot come, we always hear from their families that what’s frustrating them most is not being able to see their friends, both locals, and those who visit from way up north!

During our time with Abuelitos we try to teach them as much as we can about Jesus. You see, the way they were raised was to see religion as traditions and something cultural, sometimes even as rituals. However, we want to show them the truth about Christianity; it is not about a religion but a relationship. We’ve seen many Abuelitos come to Christ and others grow closer to Him. We thank all of you who have loved on the Abuelitos and have shown the love of Christ through a smile, a handshake, a dance, a hug….
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
