Happy New Year! We are so grateful for your life! We hope you had an enjoyable Christmas Season. Here in Guatemala Christmas celebrations start in November (we don’t have Thanksgiving as a country, though we love celebrating it and have made it part of our family tradition, a day to be thankful! What’s not to love?) and go past New Year’s Day. It’s 5-6 weeks of celebration, parties, get-togethers, and so much food! This year Andrea, the kids and I were blessed to spend 2-and-a-half weeks in Guatemala City visiting, loving, and having so much fun with our families! I think it’s safe to say it’s been one of our busiest but most fun holiday seasons.

What a whirlwind of a year 2019 was! Our family had a lot of “unsures” this past year. What we were sure about was God, His mercy, grace, and love. This, one hundred percent, meant we were trusting that, whatever the outcome, we would rest in Him knowing His will would be done. Now, we’re not going to lie, we’re not some super, perfect, flawless humans. We had our days and moments when we felt the despair, the fear, the anxiety, the sadness. But, we are so thankful for your friendship, your love, and your messages, constantly reminding us that we were not alone.

We know there is power in prayer, and with so many praying for our family it’s inevitable to worship, praise and glorify God’s name! I have said this before and I will say it again, one of the things that has impressed Andrea and I the most is the trust you showed us. Every day we remind each other that a story like ours is not easy to believe. Yet, you rallied around us and showed us your support by believing in my innocence. For this, I will be forever grateful.

Through your support our family has been able to pay off all legal fees! We are in awe of the way the Lord has provided through you! It’s hard to put into words how astonishing it is for us to have reached this point. We didn’t doubt God would provide, we knew this debt would be paid off in His timing. We just didn’t think His timing would be this fast! We know God used you; your obedience is seen and we pray many, many blessings upon your life. Thank you, thank you for coming alongside us on this journey. We do ask that you consider continuing to partner with us as we strive to raise support for our salary. In the past we have seen how God has provided for us to have a salary each month and we have faith He will continue to do so. It’s humbling to ask, and it keeps us aware that your faith and trust are in us to continue spreading the gospel in Guatemala. We pray and work hard for Christ and to honor your financial gifts to our family.

*We meant to send this out in January, but life has been busy!*
