We ended February in an amazing way! We had 8 wonderful individuals come and minister to our staff. We had an outstanding week of praising God through song, daily devotions, sharing our successes and challenges, praises and requests, ups and downs. Most of all, we spent the week giving all glory to God for all He has done through Impacto. | | We are so excited to be hosting a total of 49 teams during this year! We are praying that God will use each team to expand and fortify His Kingdom. We know we’ve asked before, but we’d like to ask again if you would please pray for our staff as we host these 49 teams in 2020. | | To many, February is the month of love. This month I had the privilege of taking part in two weddings. During the wedding this weekend, the couple asked if I would do communion for them. They asked that I explain the meaning of communion to the guests, and today I want to leave an explanation of this sacrament with you.
In the verses below, you will find that it says, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” How can I apply this to the wedding and to all the couples reading this corner? The application I find, is that communion reminds us of the highest manifestation of the love of Christ: Giving His life for His church. In the same way, He asks us to love and protect our family as husbands; and wives must love their husbands the same way.
Next time you participate in the Lord’s supper, remember how much He loved us. When February is all said and done this is real love. | | “ For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

As many of you know behind San Juan Happy Tummies we have some land where we plant crops. We’ve planted crops such as corn, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radishes, all sorts of beans, onions, cilantro, different types of squash, tomatoes, cucumber, and so much more! This is something that has assisted tremendously in feeding the kids from all three Happy Tummies and Abuelitos! Throughout the year when prices fluctuate for vegetables, legumes, grains, spices, electricity, propane gas, etc., we are able to keep our budget due to these crops! This goes the same for our chickens. The amount of eggs and then eventually meat we are able to get from our chickens are such a massive help!
Sadly, we’ve had some of our crops stolen. Though we hope that those who have taken our crops are blessed by them. We understand their need but we also know that we must be good stewards of what God has given us. Therefore, we feel it necessary to surround this area with a wall. In the future we’d love to see this area continue to bloom with crops, be a home to our chickens, and one day, hopefully, add more animals. Such animals will benefit the nourishing of the kids and Abuelitos as well as showing the kids in and out of Happy Tummies about God’s creation!
If your team is coming this year we ask that you prayerfully consider putting some of your construction efforts into this wall. If you won’t be joining us this year, we ask that if God lays it in your heart to send towards this wall, you follow through in obedience.
