God is not a God of logic. He is a God of faith, miracles, love, and hope. If we are in Christ our decisions will be guided by the Holy Spirit. Be aware, be informed, but make sure you are using discernment. Everyone is at a different stage of this whole COVID-19 situation, so let us be kind and patient. May we not judge and point, but pray and love. Remember, this too shall pass; we know where our eternity is. Below we’d like to share some praises, for which we hope you will join us in glorifying our God. Additionally there are a few requests we ask you to lift in prayer. | | - Praise God for the 8th anniversary of Happy Tummies! There have been moments when we did not know where the food would come, but it always did! We have seen the pantry multiply overnight, we have seen pots that miraculously do not empty, we have seen His provision!
- We are very grateful for technology during this time. Pastor Luis has been able to meet with the Nueva Vida Pastors weekly. Most of them do not use technology daily, but with the help of their family and the staff they were all able to connect through a Zoom meeting! Their spirits were lifted, and they loved spending time together praying, brainstorming, and chatting.
- Though these last few weeks have been hard we praise God! We trust that He is Sovereign and we are taking this time to love our families, spend time in His Word, and trust Him completely.
- Praise God because through you He provided more than we could imagine to be able to give food bags and water to many in need. Through your generosity we were able to bless another 200 families! God is so good!

Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:7-8 | | - Please join us in praying for all those suffering from COVID-19. Pray for those who are ill, for quick healing. Pray for those who have lost income, for those experiencing anxiety, depression. For all the countries around the world as the economy drops. That everyone remembers who our hope is on, and that is Christ.
- We would like to ask for prayer for wisdom and discernment. We do not know what the future holds. What we do know is that once the Guatemalan government gives us the ok we are going in full force to help the community. Pray that we help in the best way possible. Our plan is for long-term, we want to teach people to fish and not only give them fish for a day.
- Join us in praying for Roberto and Juanita. Most of you know Juanita, and her situation with having cancer in her eye. Later this month Juanita has been scheduled for a surgery to remove the last little tumor, which, praise God, shrunk with chemo. The doctor is pleased with how Juanita has responded to treatment; we hope that soon we’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel. We ask that you also pray for Roberto. He is a Happy Tummies child in San Juan; he has been diagnosed with leukemia. This past week Roberto started treatment and needed a blood transfusion. Praise God, through Healing Hands, Impacto was able to pay for that procedure.
| | One Soul
Numbers can be important, especially to organizations who raise funds and like to share with those giving what their funds have been used for and how they’ve helped. Impacto has to keep track of such numbers and we do report back. However, in the time that we have been in the ministry there is one thing we have all learned; the value of one soul. “ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents ” Luke 15:10. One soul, one, makes the angels rejoice in the presence of God! Imagine all of them cheering for you the day you said yes to Jesus!
During this time our churches and pastors are suffering. A lot of people here do not have the privilege of having unlimited internet at their fingertips. Even though many churches are airing their services – and that’s fantastic – there are many that cannot watch. One of our pastors had the idea of hooking up speakers to his pick-up truck and driving around his community while preaching the gospel. During this time a man came out of his house, ran up to the truck, and asked the pastor to guide him through the steps of accepting Jesus in his heart! One soul! Let us rejoice, and shout praises to God for this one soul during this pandemic!
