Now into June and yet another month has passed and COVID-19 is still keeping us from being able to carry on our ministry efforts as we'd like. We miss the Happy Tummies children, the Abuelitos, and everyone else. It's so strange to have no teams. But, we're doing all that we can ... delivering food bags, calling people with words and prayers of encouragement. The Happy Tummies sites seem eerily quiet.
We cannot thank you enough for the gifts you've sent. You are helping to feed so many families and they've expressed such gratitude. Plans are to distribute another 400+ bags during June. We're working on a plan to try to have "Happy Tummies to Go" which would be parents coming to pick up prepared meals for their children enrolled in Happy Tummies. We want to send a vitamin and assignment with each packed lunch that will have the children writing something from the Bible or a Bible song, coloring a page with a Bible verse, etc. We feel very strongly that they need not only food for nourishment but food for the soul. Please continue to pray with us that COVID-19 will clear out soon.
