Happy Easter! As you celebrate with family and friends, we hope you take time and reflect on the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.
Please, we ask that you join us in praising God and coming to Him in prayer on our behalf as we share these praises and requests with you
Praises
- We praise God for the privilege of seeing the grand opening of the 19th Nueva Vida Church, located in San Juan! This church has been prayed over for 2 years. We are meeting in the new Xejuyu compound and this will be our staff’s home church.
- We thank God as we have continued to feed the children in 4 Happy Tummies’ and our Abuelitos. Things still look a little different and some participants have had to do pick-up due to being under the weather. Nonetheless, everyone is getting fed.
- We have seen the Nueva Vida churches grow and flourish in the last few months. People are hungry for God and He is using the churches to feed the souls and share the Gospel.
- Praise God, our jail ministry continues to evolve. In the last week we have seen a miracle in the life of one our friends in jail. We will not tell you his entire story as we feel it is his story to tell. However, join us in praising God for the miracles our friends are experiencing and that they will continue to seek God and His justice, peace, and forgiveness.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed
for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace
was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5
Requests
We ask that you join us in prayer for all Nueva Vida Churches. Pray for the pastors, that their cups may be full, that they will feel the peace of the Lord, and that they have the emotional and physical energy to continue fighting the good fight.
Pray for our staff, we are still making decisions based on COVID protocols in Guatemala and that is not always easy for us. Pray that God gives us wisdom and discernment.
Please join us in prayer for all those leaders preparing to lead a team this year. We know there are many factors to consider and we know leading a group of people into a foreign country is no easy task. Let’s pray that God gives them peace, love, discernment, patience, wisdom, and grace.
Easter reminds us to pray for the lost souls, for those who turn a blind eye and deaf ear to the Gospel. Let’s pray for those friends, families, and neighbors who are struggling to believe. And that we may be able to live as an example and support to those who need it.
