DECEMBER - PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS -- FANTASTIC PICTURES!

Dec. 15, 2023 by Impacto

WOW! 2023 is leaving us feeling dizzy, winded, fascinated, overwhelmed, amazed, and about a million other ways. We could write an entire page of our downfalls and hard times; however, we could write a million with each blessing, miracle, and God-moment. It hasn’t always been fun or easy, but oh how we have we seen God’s hand! He has held us, led us, and loved us through this year.

Below we’d like to share a few Praises and Prayer Requests for the month of December.

Praises

  • We held our tenth Zona Cero Youth Camp with roughly 300 teens! We were expecting 150-175 teens. We nearly doubled in size! Zona Cero’s theme this year was Breaking Chains. Praise God, did we see many be set free! We saw many confess their sins and bring them to the feet of Jesus. We experience two young people come forward with witchcraft amulets we were able to renounce them in the name of Jesus and then burn them. Later we learned their parents back home had had an encounter with demons earlier that day and had done the same thing. Praise be to God we saw an entire family come to the feet of Jesus and renounce those things from the enemy!
  • Our Christmas Festival was a blast! We were able to bless over 200 families with a box of staple food items, some treats, a carton of 30 eggs and a live chicken for their Christmas tamales! We had so much fun celebrating with different people throughout the week and were overwhelmed by the testimonies of many families and what the Christmas baskets meant to them. We had a mom burst into tears when she received her basket, it’s her kids first year at Happy Tummies and she had not expected to receive such a present for Christmas.
  • Thanks to some good friends of ours we were able to buy each child a Christmas present along with their baskets! The kids were over the moon. Some parents let us know it was the only present their kids would get for Christmas and they were beyond grateful to know their kids had a brand-new toy to celebrate the season.

In our last newsletter I shared with you Luke 1:37, “nothing is impossible for God.” Today I want to share the next verse

with you, which states Mary’s response.

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word

to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

Luke 1:38

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • We ask that you continue to lift our staff in prayer as we prepare for a new year of serving. Our last two big ministry events of the year had us practicing our trust in God. Though the budget was extremely tight we saw His provision come through. Please pray that God will provide for all we have planned in 2024.
  • Speaking of providing, we are getting ready to buy sewing machines for Stitches of Blessings. We are not sure right now how many women will be in our class; it will all depend on the funds we receive. Right now, we have enough for 9 machines so the plan is to have 5 women at the lake and 4 women in Gerona (Guatemala City). If you’d like to be a part of this ministry, please let us know.
  • We ask that you pray for all those we minister to directly and indirectly, friends and friends of friends so that each one is blessed by our ministries. And may God receive all the glory!
