GUESS WHAT'S COMING UP?

How is it that we are ending the 10th month of the year?! 2022 is just around the corner! The past almost two years have been a learning experience for our staff. We have learned to be flexible, compassionate, patient, loving, understanding, and to trust God with everything. Has it been easy? No. Have we done it right each time? No. Have we always made the right decisions? No. Have we always answered the way Jesus would? No. Have we failed? Yes. Have we learned? Yes. Have we prayed and grown closer to God? Yes. Will we continue to fail? Yes. Will we continue to try and be better and learn from our mistakes? Yes. 

As you can tell, this has been a season of growth and learning for us and we hope you have done the same. We are learning to have faith, to trust God more, to love others as He loves us, to speak His truth, and most importantly we are learning that our purpose on this earth is to tell others about the Gospel, bring them to the feet of Jesus, and give Him all the glory and honor!



I can do all this through him
who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:13

LEARNING TO BE CONTENT

How long does it take for a child to learn to disobey?

How long does it take a child to learn to obey?

I believe it takes a whole life to learn to obey.

Paul said he learned to be content no matter the circumstances. “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”  Philippians 4:11-13 NIV

Let us learn to be content and be grateful to God no matter the circumstances of our lives.

CHRISTMAS BASKETS

We are so grateful for all of you, for your prayers and financial gifts during the last 19 months, you have carried us and have made it possible for Impacto to continue with God’s ministries. We have been able to continue ministering to over 1,000 people! This may come in the form of meals, food bags, clothes, toys, Bible and Theological training, vocational training, providing jobs, medicine and other medical care, prayer, counseling, and friendships. All this was made possible because you continued to support us during this time.

In the next few weeks, we will be working on getting Christmas baskets ready! We are giving out 135 Christmas baskets this year. Each basket includes staple food items such as, but not limited to: beans, rice, nutrition drink, oatmeal, cooking oil, sugar, pasta, soup, salt, a carton (30 units) of eggs, and for Christmas we are going to add some cookies, and other Christmas treats! And, of course, one live chicken they can use for Christmas tamales! 

You can continue to partner with us as we raise funds to continue all these ministries by donating to our General Fund. When you contribute to our General Fund you are giving towards the ministries mentioned above and so much more! Maybe your small group, Sunday School class, family, office, whoever you may feel led to approach, would be willing to send US$40 per basket + chicken! Pray about it and help us bless families who have so little to have a special Christmas!

Remember what Pastor Luis says, the ripple effect from each person Impactoministers to reaches more, therefore of the 1,000 people we directly minister to, the ripple effect multiplies that number! Thank you for partnering with us as we reach the lost and continue to minister and disciple many Christians. 



Last month, we reported that Pastor Luis' accordion had broken. His request was if anyone had one stored away or knew of one stored away and unused to consider donating it to Impacto for him to use when he travels to visit and preach in churches here in Guatemala. Well, God answered that request in a B-I-G way! Pastor Luis now has a brand new accordion and is overjoyed! Thank you to those who made this possible...you are ministering with him as he travels!
