As we end the month of October our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Gratitude towards our God our protector and provider, our loving and merciful Father. He is good.
With November starting we are feeling the pressure of Zona Cero and Christmas Festival. Our funding isn’t quite where we would want it to be, but we are continuing to have faith in Christ. This year Zona Cero will be one day shorter than it has been in the past. We have also condensed our Christmas Festival from 4 days to two. We are being proactive on how money is spent and trying to be the best stewards of what God has given us.
We feel so passionate about both events. Bringing the cheer or Christmas and the Good News of Salvation is important. Remember, everything we do has the end goal of further growing the Kingdom of God. Imagine someone saying, “I came to Christ because one day I was gifted a Christmas basket and someone told me about Jesus”! That’s what we hope -- that people will come to know Christ through the festival.
Last year in Zona Cero we had a pair of siblings denounce witchcraft, give up their amulets given to them by a witch for “protection” and decided to fully trust in God. The amulets were burned and we praised God the rest of the night. With so much “New Age” witchcraft that many try to pass off as Christianity, we feel the responsibility to guide the next generation. It is scary to see many who call themselves Christians teaching our youth with half-truths. And as we know, a half true is a lie. Please join us in guiding and teaching these teens the truth that is Jesus Christ. We need $175 per teen to cover stay, meals, and material.

Faith Growth
1 Corinthians 13 gives us a description of true love. If you can, take the time to read the entire chapter. But I want to talk about verse 11 that says,
“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.”
This teaches us about the growth that we can have as we practice love and practice what the Word of God says. So, work on your growth and push yourself so that we can be grown in faith and not stay in a perpetual child-like state.
Serving Christ together,
Pastor Luis
