Did you blink and opened your eyes to mid-November? Because that’s how it feels for us! As we continue to work on prepping for Zona Cero (youth camp) we wanted to share some Praises and Prayer Requests. [We hope you enjoy the pictures from last year's Zona Cero.
PRAISES
- We praise God because He has provided for Zona Cero to be fully funded this year! However, if you still want to donate, remember, we can use it next year! Most of the teenagers attending will not pay the Q100 (US$15) we ask for. Some will give a percentage; most will come empty-handed. Yet, they are all loved, received, and treated with care.
- We praise God for all the teams we have hosted this year! We were able to see so many of you and praise God and pray and serve together. We hope you know that teams are just as big a blessing to our community as they are to our staff.
- We praise God for the teams we already have on the calendar for 2025! And remember if you’d like to schedule a team you can email Andrea at [email protected].
“Give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18
PRAYER REQUEST
One huge request: Please join us in prayer for Zona Cero.
We are expecting around 200 teenagers! Pray for our staff and workers. The enemy is trying hard to distract us and to bring us down, but we know we serve an all-powerful God! Pray that we will continue to trust in Him, stand firm, and to keep our minds and eyes clear and open to serve the teens coming on November 27. Pray for the teens coming, that they will hear of God’s love and salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. God is already working in the hearts and lives of many coming.
One of the stories that stands out to us is about a young girl, whose name we will keep private. A woman who came to the Congress called a few days back and asked if she could sponsor said girl. We happily responded with a yes; her answer was, “but I need you to know her story first.”
A while back this young girl was kidnapped and put into a prostitution ring. After some time she was able to escape and made it home. However, now those same people who had her have shown up to her house and offered her mom large amounts of money to have her back. As you can imagine this is a family with very low economical resources, but they have stayed firm in keeping this girl home.
Now this family friend has been visiting and telling her about Jesus. The girl made a decision to follow Him but is still scared of what is to come. She is very excited about coming to Zona Cero. Her family is looking forward to her hearing about God in a different enviornment with teens her age that will rally around her, love her, and pray over her.
So, please pray for her and many others and that they will find freedom in Christ during Zona Cero.
