IMPACTO PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS - MAY 2026

May 15, 2026 by impacto

The first 15 days of May have felt like 15 years! So many things have happened, and God has done so much! A lot of new plans are forming and God is moving us in directions that can only be explained as “a God thing.” He is so good and shows us His mercy and grace daily.

Below are some praises and some special prayer requests we would like to share with you.

Thank you for joining us in prayer.

PRAISES

  • We praise God for all the teams that will join us this summer. It is humbling to know that you believe in what God has called us to do in Guatemala. Your eagerness to serve and share the Gospel and God’s love is admirable and we know God will bless you a hundred times-fold.
  • In the last few weeks, we have seen a spike in the number of people reaching out for prayer, guidance, and to know more about the Word of God. People are hungry for the truth and they want to know more! It is an honor to share what God has done for us through His Son Jesus Christ.
  • We praise God for all moms – those who are with us today and those who have gone before us. We recognize that Mother’s Day can hold both joy and tenderness for many hearts, and we pray that everyone would feel the comfort of God’s unfailing love. In every circumstance, His love remains constant, and in that truth, we find peace, hope, and joy.

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.

Proverbs 19:17

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Please continue to lift our team in prayer as we prepare for our busy summer season. Pray for wisdom, discernment, safety, and strength as we prepare to host multiple teams weekly. Pray that through these teams, many will come to know Christ, seeds of faith will be planted, and souls will be harvested all for the glory of God.
  • May is usually the beginning of the rainy season for us. This year, however, we have been told to expect less rain and higher-than-normal temperatures. In Zacapa [near the Atlantic Ocean] where one of our church’s is located, the climate is hot year-round. Over the last few days temperatures have reached the high nineties and even as high as 114 degrees Fahrenheit! As hot as that sounds, most homes do not have air conditioning or insulation, often making the heat inside even more intense than outside! Pastor Harvin and his family are not originally from Zacapa but faithfully answered the call to go and minister to the people there. He and his wife are serving with their two young children, and the extreme heat has become especially difficult for the family. We would like to help by providing an air conditioning unit for their home so they can have some relief during this season. The total need is $7,000 to purchase and install the unit. If you feel led to help Pastor Harvin and his family, you can find ways to donate through our website [click

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
