Hello November! Can you believe we are a few short weeks before Zona Cero and Christmas Festival?!
This time of the year is always so crazy for our staff. We’re up to our elbows in prep-work for Zona Cero, hosting two teams, making sure everything is purchased to fill baskets for the Christmas Festival, church events for the holidays are starting, plus we are trying to enjoy our own personal time with friends and family! Every year at the start of November we feel a little overwhelmed with what’s to come in the next month-and-a-half. The bad part is that the enemy loves to come after us during this time. We become scared, apprehensive, stressed, short-tempered, doubtful, depressed, anxious, and more. But this year we are calling on God’s army! We are asking all you prayer warriors to join us in prayer, and to lift us in prayer. Please, pray that God will send His angels to surround us, to protect us from the schemes of the enemy.
Pray that during Zona Cero many will come to Christ, that many chains will be broken, sins will be confessed, and many will be set free for the glory of God!
Please pray that during the Christmas Festival many will be reached by the Gospel; and that a simple Christmas basket and a chicken will be the tool God uses to make Himself known in the lives of over 200 families!
We praise God because in the last month we have seen His provision come through for both ministries. We could still use a bit of help getting to our goal, so we ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with us to make Zona Cero and the Christmas Festival two unforgettable events to finish 2023. Remember, $55 will cover a Christmas basket, a live chicken, and a carton of 30 eggs for one family. Additionally, US$175 will help cover the cost for one teen to attend Zona Cero, youth camp for 4-and-a-half days.
Thank you for your prayers, they mean so much to us, and we feel strengthened knowing we have a whole army or prayer warriors backing us up. To God be the glory today, tomorrow, and for all eternity!
The New Year is just around the corner, and many start to decide on their New Year’s resolution. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 we read, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I Will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” This verse talks about 4 very important things: If my people humble themselves; pray; if they pray; and if they abandon their wicked ways.
The best example we can find about humbleness is Philippians 2:5-11, “In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death – even death on a cross!Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Then we see in Luke 6:12 we see how He prays, “One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.”
Psalm 42:1-2 shows how we must seek, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?”
And to finish, if they turn from their wicked ways, “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” Proverbs 28:13
The result of following these instructions is, “then I Will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
I pray these four points can be of help as you pick your New Year’s resolution. You don’t even have to wait for the New Year, you can start now!
