Church Planting has always been big in Pastor Luis’ heart. We are firm believers that “the harvest is plenty but the laborers are few.” The church planting movement is actioned by Nueva Vida Church, Impacto’s sister association that focuses on training and multiplication.
Planting Churches is a way for us to know we are helping a community by planting a church where many will come to know Christ and grow in their faith. The Lord commanded us to continue spreading the Gospel in Guatemala and as a result of this commandment, the work done in this ministry has been fruitful.
There are 17 churches that have been planted around the country. The four cardinal points are covered with these churches, specifically in the Lake Atitlan region, Guatemala City area, Zacapa, and Alta Verapaz. Though they are in the same country, each area has a culture of its own, different Mayan dialects, and different climates. Rainy, dry, cool, hot, mountains or no mountains -- in the midst of diversity, God continues to touch lives through all of these churches.
Besides these churches, there are at least two preaching points that, with God’s help, will become established churches. In every church, we have seen many people coming to Christ, transformed, encouraged, and growing in their faith in Christ.
