IMPACTO NEWS, PICTURES, & SOMETHING NEW! - AUGUST 2025

Aug. 31, 2025 by Impacto

Goodbye August, you have been a wonderful month! We’re not sure how this happened, but here we are, ending the eighth month of the year!

Our crew is busy following up on a lot of work teams started. We are reaching out to many that made a decision to accept Christ as their Savior, catching up with many who still had hard questions before making this commitment, and walking alongside others who are believers and traveling a hard road right now. We have shared many deep talks, laughs, and tears. And we can tell you is that our communities are really hungry for Jesus, and for Jesus-centered relationships. Our prayer is that we can walk along the paths many teams opened this summer and continue to serve our communities and see follow-through of what many of you started.

We have said this many times and we'll say it over and over again: teams are such a great resource! And we are so blessed that God called us to be here full-time and make sure that we are following up and watering the seeds planted. If we’re blessed enough, we shall see the harvest, if not those behind us will see the harvest of the present labor.

Just a reminder: As you pray for Zona Cero Youth Camp and the Christmas Festival, please consider donating to help us make this happen. We need $30,000 to make both Zona Cero and Christmas Festival possible. Any help little or big is appreciated and we pray you will be blessed back 100 times fold.

A few days ago, while having a conversation with my family around the table, we were talking about the “buts” in the Bible, which I call the “holy buts” of the Bible. There are many in God’s Word. I want to talk briefly about this word in Romans 2. Paul is talking about the anger of God, and the wrath of God against sin; verse 8 says:

“But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.”

Then, there is a difference made by the word “but” in verse 10:

but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good:  first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.”

This part includes each of us! So, let’s try to do good before the Lord so we will have glory and honor that comes from God.

I encourage you to meditate in God’s Word every time you find one of these “holy buts.”

Serving Christ together,

Pastor Luis
