IMPACTO PRAISES & PRAYER REQUESTS - JANUARY 2026

Jan. 15, 2026 by Impacto

It's wild to think we are now in 2026! We are certainly excited to start a new year and have been talking of changes, plans, and goals to be more like Jesus. Below we'd like to share our first Praises and Prayer Requests so you may join us as we bring them to the throne in prayer.

PRAISES

  • We praise God because on January 10th we were able to celebrate the Bible Institute graduation. We had 25 total graduates receiving 3 different types of diplomas! It was such a joy to see so many reach goals they thought they'd never complete. One brother traveled from 8 hours away and his family rented a bus to come cheer him on; he brought 40 family members! Our hearts are filled with humble gratitude to be able to be such a small part in the graduates’ joy.
  • We praise God that 2025 ended with His provision. God is good and He covered every need and more!
  • We thank God for watching over P. Luis during his surgery. We know He is the ultimate Healer.
  • We held our first meeting of the year with Happy Tummies parents on January 13th! A few families are still away visiting family and some families are all working a few hours away harvesting coffee. Most of our HT kids back for next Monday which will be the first day of Happy Tummies for 2026; the rest will join us the first week of February. Continue to pray for all Happy Tummies families, especially those who will be traveling back home in the next couple of weeks.
  • Some of the children from our Happy Tummies program have stopped by to ask about borrowing books to read from the library before the new HT year begins. We appreciate these moments as they indicate the positive impact our efforts are having on the children. Praise the Lord for allowing us these moments!

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet
to have taken hold of it. But the one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and
straining toward what is ahead.

Philippians 3:13

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Please join us in praying for a complete and painless recovery for P.Luis. For those of you who do not know, he fell and tore tendons in his shoulder. The doctor has said he must be on complete rest for 2-3 weeks. Pray that his recovery will be miraculously quick and that God will give him the patience to allow his body to recover quickly. This is a long recovery, and if you know P.Luis, you know he does not do well staying still!
  • Please pray for our executive team as we work, plan, and make decisions. We want to honor God with all we do
  • As we gear up for a new year of serving, we want to kindly encourage you to join the effort through financial contribution. The best way to do this is by donating towards our General Fund. This gives our executive team the opportunity to use funds where we see the most need, as well as make things less difficult when working with IRS. You can DONATE NOW and see the various ways to make your donation to help us grow the Kingdom!
