It’s June! How exciting! As we celebrate that we are halfway through the year, we would like to share some Praises and Requests that are on our hearts.
Praises
- We praise God because last June we were not able to host a single team, Guatemala was still under strict shut down and the airport was closed. This week we are hosting our first team in a year and four months! Can you believe it? Our staff and workers are used to hosting close to 40 teams yearly (some sharing weeks) and this is our first team in 16 months!
- We praise God as we are seeing progress in the construction in Xejuyu, things are moving along, and we could not be more excited!
- Praise God we have been able to go back to in-person Happy Tummies and Abuelitos! We are so excited to be able to have that fellowship back and see many of them slowly returning

- Please, pray for our staff, we are all feeling a bit rusty hosting teams. Pray that we are able to give the best of ourselves to the teams and the ministries they will be taking part in.
- We ask that you pray for provision for us to continue moving forward with Construction at Xejuyu. We are starting to see our dreams for this place come to life and we know many North Americans as well as locals will benefit from this compound.
- Pray that covid numbers stay low enough to where we can continue to hold in-person Happy Tummies and Abuelitos for the remainder of the year. It has been a hard year and we want nothing more than to be able to minister to these beautiful souls face-to-face
“How Can I Help?”
That’s a question we get very often. It’s such a blessing when someone feels God touch them to help us with our ministry efforts. There are so many ways to help.
- You can come minister with us … for a week, two weeks, a month, as long as you can!
- You can bring a team … we have volunteers that will help you with coordinating and planning.
- You can pray for us … satan does not like when God is being glorified so your prayers help us battle his trials.
- You can donate … we need donations to help us continue ministering through all the programs we have (i.e., Happy Tummies, Construction, Stitches of Blessings, Abuelitos…).
- You can sign up for Amazon Smile; you can raise funds to send to help support our ministry efforts.
