IMPACTO NEWS

March 31, 2025 by Impacto

What a wonderful month March has been. We have seen God do wonderful things, and it leaves us with no doubt that He is the one going before us.

We are so grateful for all the prayers we have felt this past month. It fills us with humble joy to know we have such a powerful support system when it comes to lifting us in prayer. God has been so good to us!

This month we said goodbye to our dear friends, Larry and Carlotta Walsh, from Canada. They were with us for 10 weeks as missionaries. They helped us with lots of behind-the-scenes work and some very big projects. They worked on building tables and benches for our new Happy Tummies in Santa Clara, as well helping in the pharmacy. They helped with teams and build other furniture for the personal use of some of our missionaries here in Guatemala. What a blessing they were!

This year we have seen our women’s Bible Study on Zoom grow exponentially! We started out with 8 women back in 2017 attending and in-person study time. Then due to the pandemic we switched over to Zoom and were able to include women outside of our community. 2025 has seen our numbers for this ministry grow. We have 96 full time, faithful, participants in addition to around 15 more women who attend when their schedules allow. The Bible Study is now being taught 3 times a week to allow groups to be a little smaller and more intimate. To God be the glory! Our hearts are filled with joy to know there are women learning more about Him each day, and the best part, they go out to their communities and share what they have learned! God is so good and His Word is being shared daily through the ripple effect of this ministry.

GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS

“Via Dolorosa”, which roughly translated is, ‘painful path’. It’s the path Jesus took to His death. In the Gospels we read about the Via Dolorosa, the death, the passion, the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the next few weeks, we will be celebrating this event that brought salvation to our souls. But the verse I want to share with you today is Matthew 28. All the Gospels narrate the same story but Matthew 28:18-20 says, ‘Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”

I want to emphasize, “of all nations”. I am so grateful for each of you who have come to Guatemala. It’s an obedience to the plan of Jesus, to go to all the nations and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. If you haven’t been a part of a missionary experience, we invite you to join us here in Guatemala and be part of this command to go to “all nations”.

Happy Easter!

Serving Christ together,

Pastor Luis
