Happy New Year! The first 15 days of the year have come and gone in a whirlwind! Below we’d like to share some of the Praises and Prayer Requests for January. 

Praises

• We are so grateful for a New Year. We are grateful to each of you who lifts us in prayer and supports us through donations, by joining a team, and telling others of what God is doing in Guatemala through Impacto. God is so good!
• This month most of our staff was able to volunteer at our local church, How Great Thou Art for their VBS. The school year in Guatemala runs from late January-October for private schools and mid-February mid-November for public schools, so the first days of January were perfect for our VBS this year. We had a wonderful turn-out, including most of our Happy Tummies kids and were able to have the church and families fellowship and grow closer. 

• Yesterday was also our first day of Stitches of Blessings! We have 25 machines this year and have divided them into different areas of the country. This year we are happy to be sponsoring a brand-new class in a brand-new area! We now have a total of 4 Stitches of Blessings classes:  1 in San Juan, 1 in Gerona, 1 in Zacapa, and the newest in Chicacao! God has been so good and has led us to where there is great need and potential, to Him be all the glory!
• We are so excited and so thankful to God for provision enabling us to start building our Impacto headquarters this month! Our staff is so excited to be able to have a space to work and serve. The first floor will be used for a café and the Impacto store and the second floor will be used for our offices. We all spend a lot of time doing on-field work but also have a lot to do at our desks. Being able to have a designated place for this will make a big impact in our work lives as well as our family and personal lives. Praise God!

Prayer Requests

• Please pray for Impacto as we start a new year. We have goals and ideas, and sometimes they feel big and too hard to accomplish. Pray that we will do and follow God’s will and trust Him in the process. Pray for our walk with Christ and that we will remain strong in Him. Pray for us to be filled with the Fruits of the Spirit and that we can be walking testimonies of the Gospel.
• Pray for us as we prepare to host teams, that each team that comes will be here to spread the Good News and to share of God’s love. Pray for those on the teams whose hearts and lives will be changed through their trip and that with every team we are able to bring Glory to His Name.

• Please join us in prayer as we continue to plan for further construction. We need rooms for couples. Both for teams and for our annual Conference and Congress. It is so important to us to keep couples together as much as possible for all events.
• Please continue to pray for Guatemala; that more souls will be reached and that many will come to Him. Our country needs a revival. The world needs a revival. We pray we can be a part of that. We pray for you often and we are so grateful to start a new year with you by our sides.
