The first 15 days of May have been quite busy for our staff. Mother’s Day calls for celebrations, planning, laughing with those who laugh, and crying with those who cry. As we wind down from the first half of this month we would like to share some Praises and Prayer Requests with you.

PRAISES

• We praise God for allowing us to celebrate Mother’s everywhere. We understand this is a hard day for some and a day full of joy for others. However, we pray that each of you found the joy of the Lord on this day and were able to praise His name.
• This month we were able to start a Stitches of Blessings class in Zacapa! This is something we’ve prayed about a lot! God provided, not only for the machines, but also a teacher in the community! God is so good! There are 5 women in the class who will receive their machines at the end of the year.
• We praise God for allowing Impacto to have a Healing Hands Ministry (medical). This has allowed for us to be a part of two life-saving stories in the past few weeks.

One was helping a couple with an emergency C-section for a first-time mother. They live here, but have no family nearby. The doctor said if they had waited just a couple of hours the baby would not have made it.

Another, was one of our abuelitos who thought he was feeling sick due to some life choices. However, when our volunteer doctor checked him, the doctor realized the abuelito had pneumonia. Had treatment not begun immediately, we would have lost him within a week. God is so good!

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of
hard work we must help the weak, remembering the
words the Lord Jesus himself said:
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

PRAYER REQUESTS

• In 10 days we will welcome our first team of the summer season! We are so excited and cannot wait to see how God will use each one who will be ministering alongside Impacto. Please join us in praying for safety, health, energy, and provision for each person joining a team this summer.
• We now have a total of 25 women in 3 different Stitches of Blessings classes/churches. We ask that you prayerfully consider donating towards this ministry as we start to plan our classes for 2025. We need $12,000 for machines alone for next year.
• Please continue to pray for our workers, ministry partners, and staff as we serve the community daily. Pray that we are filled daily with the fruits of the Spirit so we might continue to minister for God’s glory!
